**Hays is now recruiting for a Band 7 Substance Misuse Nurse (Lead Nurse)**

**About the role**:
You will be expected to form part of the senior leadership team within the service, working closely with the service manager and lead doctor to provide and develop high quality clinical service provision, with specific responsibility for nursing services.

**Rates negotiable**

**Location: Hatfield, Hertfordshire**

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:

- To be professionally responsible and accountable for all aspects of your own work and that of the team you are working with including the management of people in your care.
- Assure that integrated pathways are in place for individuals who require treatment for their health needs related to their addiction.
- Ensure that the services clinical model is functioning, effective, efficient and in line with CGL policy and national guidance.
- Implement/maintain an immunisation and vaccination scheme to help combat blood borne viruses (BBV) and other infectious diseases and provide advice and information to other professionals on BBVs and the care of individuals with drug and alcohol issues.
- To ensure all programmes, e.g., immunisation programmes, are adequately staffed so that contractual requirements are met.
- Actively participate in recording and investigating incidents/complaints as directed by the service manager.

**What you will need to succeed**:

- Professional registration as a Registered Nurse (NMC)
- Experience of clinical practice with experience with Substance Misuse Service Users
- Currently working or experience as a Band 7 or equivalent
- Enhanced DBS on Update Service Needed
