Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Clinical Informatics Nurse to help achieve the strategic aims of the Nursing and Midwifery Professional Standards and Nursing Workforce Corporate Team in Hywel Dda UHB.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Nursing for Digital, Informatics Lead Nurse Heads of Nursing and senior nurses across the health board, leading on a range of digital projects and related digital transformation programmes for nursing and midwifery .

They will be a key member of the corporate nursing team supporting all aspects of nursing service modernisation through digitalisation and supporting service change aligned to the Annual Plan.

They will have considerable ability to organise their own workload and act on their own initiative to deliver the delegated project aims.

They will advise organisationally on delivering informatics programmes that involve nurses and midwives and other clinical professionals throughout the service.

Main duties of the job

Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties. Our 12,000 members of staff provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services for around 384,000 people across a quarter of the landmass of Wales. Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
