REED Engineering are looking for a dynamic and experienced Commercial Manager to manage the daily operations of a well-established estimating and sales team for a long-standing manufacturing company based in Durham. As a key member of the management team,you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, managing budgets and financial performance, and providing support to the sales and estimating teams.

As Commercial Manager, some of your key duties will include:

- **Managing the daily operations of Sales, Estimating and Contracts teams**:

- **Assigning tasks to team members and manage their performance**:

- **Reviewing and developing operational processes to improve performance and maximise growth**:

- **Collaborating with Sales to maximise new opportunities**:

- **Building strong relationships with clients to maintain and acquire new business**:

- **Working closely with Estimating and other teams to develop accurate and consistent bids**:

- **Assessing and managing risks for new initiatives**:

- **Working closely with Contracts to monitor and progress work to ensure on time delivery**:

- **Act as the client’s representative in the organisation to facilitate the best customer service for each project**

The ideal person will have:

- **Previous experience in a management role in a manufacturing environment**:

- **Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team**:

- **Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills**:

- **Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions**:

- **Excellent organizational, time-management, and project management skills**
