**Event Sales Executive, based in Leatherhead, Surrey**

**The role**

We have an exciting growth and development opportunity for a dynamic sales individual to join our Information business based in Leatherhead. At Smithers Information, we provide in person and online conferences, market reports, strategic consultancy and corporatememberships.

You will be joining small, friendly team and will be responsible for generating delegate sales revenue for our in person and online conferences.

In the Event Sales Executive role, some of your duties will include:

- Generate delegate revenue for our events sector
- Forge strong, long lasting relationships with our key clients and customer base
- Prospecting of very technical and strategic concepts to clients quickly and accurately
- Responsibility for lead sourcing using internal and external data
- Reporting of your sales performance against your budget and pipeline
- Maintain and update CRM with relevant new contacts, notes and demographics
- Manage and broaden prospect lists and generate targeted lists that increase the probability of sales.
- Ensure delivery of exceptional customer service to clients across the portfolio
- Attainment of key activity metrics (call time, opportunity creation)

Part time and full time hours considered.

**The person**
- Telephone sales experience is advantageous
- Ideally you will hold Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- The ability to manage, meet and exceed sales win goals
- High levels of self-motivation
- Execution of both a consultative and tenacious sales process
- Highly effective communicator, face to face and on the phone
- Ability to build rapport with customers and potential customers
- Commercial awareness and business acumen
- Able to grasp technical and strategic concepts quickly and accurately
- Good organisational skills
