Specialist Child & Adolescent Mental Health Practitioner posts

To work within a multidisciplinary team offering full comprehensive assessments and intervention in a range of settings and evaluate the mental health care to children, young people and their families in line with local and national guidelines.

To provide regular and on-going consultation, joint work, training and advice to other agency staff in relation to child and adolescent mental health to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people.

You will hold a caseload of young people with complex mental health needs and will take responsibility for providing assessments and therapeutic treatment programmes for these individuals. You will have a proven ability to liaise with and work in collaboration with other relevant agencies according to the needs of the young person.

We are part of the CYP IAPT initiative and work in partnership with the Reading CYP-IAPT collaborative where we have on going opportunities for further training. Embedded in our model are pathways that are built upon Evidence based practice and ensure a supportive supervision structure that allows for effective care delivery as well as the development of staff skills and knowledge.

You will be a qualified professional with current registration with a relevant professional body.

Experience in running groups and assessment skills would be advantageous or a willingness to access training in these methods of intervention.
