Deputy Screening Coordinator

The successful applicant will work as part of the screening team based across Bristol and Weston to maintain our excellent service, which we are proud of and support the women and their families who use our service plus the staff who seek advice and knowledge from our team.

We are looking for a midwife who has recent experience of screening and has a thorough knowledge of the screening programmes across all areas.

Must be flexible in working patterns

Our organisation is dynamic, forward thinking and at our most recent QA visit from NHS England the screening team was praised for its work within the National screening Pathways.

Below are the main duties and responsibilities that the role entails:

- To ensure all PHE Screening standards are adhered to quarterly Key Performance data is sent to our Quality Assurance team (QA)
- Ensure women receiving essential screening information / management following screen positive results
- Managing new-born screening services (NIPE and new-born Blood spot)
- Teaching on the monthly Midwifery Update
- Coordinating the Antenatal Screening Governance meeting and Newborn Screening Governance meetings.
- Take an active role in QA external visits
- Auditing of our service against KPI and National benchmarking of our service.
- Support and advice regarding the screening pathways
