We protect and care for places so people and nature can thrive. We look after hundreds of houses and close to a million objects, along with vast areas of coastline, countryside and green spaces, for everyone’s benefit. We’re an independent charity and we rely on donations to help protect and care for many of the UK’s best-loved places.
As our Philanthropy & Partnerships Officer you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering the High-Value Fundraising strategy and annual delivery plan and you’ll lead on managing the engagement of senior stakeholders (e.g. members of the Board of Trustees or Executive Board) in fundraising.
What it's like to work here:With our staff, members, volunteers, and supporters, we’re the biggest conservation charity in Europe. We’ve got passionate people in our teams, and we’ve got so much more we want to achieve. We’re for ever, for everyone and we really mean that. We want everyone to feel welcome and enjoy access to our places, so we need to deepen the engagement with our current supporters and reach new audiences in ways that are meaningful and relevant to them - and we need to drive growth in fundraising income to make it happen.
Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon, however there will be an opportunity to explore and agree remote working arrangements which strike the right balance for you and the Trust.
What you'll be doing:Working closely with the Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships and the leaders of the Philanthropy, Grants and Corporate Partnerships teams, this newly created role will be responsible for driving consistency & collaboration within the High-Value Fundraising team by developing processes and tools to engage various internal audiences specifically senior stakeholders including through working with the Director General & Chair offices.
You’ll be the 'go to' contact for the High-Value Fundraising team activities, you’ll lead on planning and implementing learning and development opportunities for the team. You’ll develop effective ways of working across the High-Value Fundraising income streams by building strong relationships with the team leaders, ensuring the three specialisms are collaborating effectively with each other. You will project manage key pieces of work that are critical to the strategy and income growth of the High-Value Fundraising team.
Who we're looking forWe recommend you view the full role profile document attached. You don't need to have all the knowledge, skills and experience listed; this just provides a full picture of what is possible in this role. We’d love you to have:

- Strong interpersonal & influencing skills with the ability to build rapport & maintain mutually beneficial relationships at all levels.
- Knowledge of project & stakeholder management frameworks & techniques
- Experience of working in a charitable or non-profit organisation in a high-value fundraising environment
- A track record of co-ordinating a varied workload with multiple programmes whilst tracking progress & quality
**Along with your CV please also include a covering letter telling us about your skills and experience and your passion for working within fundraising**

We welcome and value difference, so when we say we’re for everyone, we want everyone to be welcome in our teams too.
Wherever you’re from, and whatever your background, we want to hear from you - and it doesn’t matter if you’re jam first, cream first, or even if you don’t like scones at all. Everyone is welcome.
