Made up of a team of editors, writers and SEO experts, the Good Housekeeping Institute content team is responsible for the creation of product review articles based on expert testing across Hearst UK’s digital and print portfolio. We also create video that gives a behind-the-scenes look at our testing process. Our mission is to publish trusted review content that aligns with our Hearst brands and, most importantly, serves our audiences — so they know they’re buying the very best. We pride ourselves on our ability to think creatively, work collaboratively and engage readers with our content.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The role of the lifestyle writer involves creating and delivering quality review content across both print and digital, covering existing areas including beauty, food & drink, wellness and homes, as well as helping to launch new categories such as parenting and pets. This role requires someone who is up to date with all the latest lifestyle trends and product releases and can bring them to life through sparkling copy and creative formats.

The lifestyle writer will work with the content and testing teams to help create and update the testing calendar, ensuring results are delivered on time to meet copy deadlines. They will work with the video team to provide scripts and give feedback on edits, helping to bring our testing process to life. They will pitch content ideas to digital and print editors across the Hearst titles. They will also liaise with the accreditation team to ensure we’re delivering on our commercial targets.

As such a central role to the Good Housekeeping Institute content team, it is vital the lifestyle writer has strong collaboration and communication skills. Previous lifestyle writing experience across digital and/or print, plus the ability to juggle numerous tasks, pay attention to detail and stay organised, are essential. The lifestyle writer should have good SEO and affiliates knowledge. Experience creating and feeding into video is a sought-after plus.
