We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person to join our team here at Southlands Hospital.

This is a full time role 37.5 hours Monday to Friday

This is a challenging and exciting admin role working within an extremely busy Outpatient Booking office.

Be able to work well under pressure/NHS targets
Be able to deal with anxious patients in a sensitive manner.
Be able to operate effectively as part of a team or using your own initiative.

Confidence when phoning patients to offer or cancel appointments

This role does involve telephone work contacting patients to book, rebook and cancel appointments on behalf of the Trust

You will be supported by experienced staff whilst working as part of a team delivering a high quality service to patients and other departments within the hospital.

Routine input of demographics data and personal details of patients using the computerised patient administration system (PAS) to provide the Trust with an up-to date record of patient information and to ensure a high standard of data quality.
2) Maintain waiting lists on behalf of the Trust and the clinicians and select and schedule
patients awaiting outpatient appointments for treatment according to the clinician’s
instructions and ensure that
a. All patients are seen within the specified time frame
b. Patients are prioritised by urgency of treatment
c. All Outpatient clinics are fully utilised without being overbooked
