An exciting opportunity has arisen for a **D2C OPS Despatch Team Lead** to join our wonderful D2C Despatch team at Greenregis, Mr Fothergill’s Seeds.

**Opportunities**

This opportunity is **full time **and **permanent **position. You will based at our Newmarket site. However, travel may be required to other Group locations.

D2C warehouse despatch ops team lead is responsible for the performance of the picking and packing team, which will include day to day management of the team and planning workload to ensure the team meet the set business objectives. This role is also the first line support for Health and Safety, and for security and fire alarm systems checking, and coordination with alarm company. The First Aid team management, alongside the D2C Ops Warehouse Manager, also falls under the remit of this position

**What You’ll Be Doing**

Head count planning
- Head count planning to deliver next day despatch at planned cost and margin for business;
- Liaison with agency over additional flexible staff needed;
- Weekly reporting on planned vs actual agency labour use to relevant stakeholders.

Picking and packing performance
- Working to planned pick and pack KPI’s delivering margin and next day despatch;
- Effectively manage the picker performance monitoring system.

Trade show logistics
- Organisation of stock, stands and logistics for D2C trade and gardening shows.

Facilities maintenance
- Firstline of enquiry and coordination with internal site engineering staff and contractors as to site facilities maintenance;
- Alarm system checking and liaison with alarm company.

Health and Safety and First aid leadership
- H&S inductions and audits. - H&S supplies management;
- First aid team maintenance - renewal of first aid certificates for first aiders;
- Firstline warehouse supervision of Health and Safety and first aid in conjunction with the D2C Ops Warehouse Manager.

Cover and support D2C Ops Warehouse Manager
- Cover and support urgent time bound task requirements as best as possible in the absence of the D2C Ops Warehouse Manager in times of leave, to attend weekly trading meeting with or alternate weeks to D2C Ops Warehouse Manager.

Other tasks and duties may be assigned by the Operations Director according to daily business requirements. You may be requested to work additional hours during busy periods.

**What You’ll Need to Bring**

**Essential**
- Effective communication and management;
- Planning and organising;
- Excellent problem solving and decision making;
- Good computer skills particularly with Microsoft Word and Excel.

**Desirable**
- Despatch Ops systems familiarity;
- First line Health and Safety management - IOSH training will be provided.
