**Summary of Role**:
We are looking for an HR Advisor to join us in our Ferndown (Dorset) office, joining a small and developing HR function. This is a newly created role, offering the successful applicant the opportunity to gain skills and experience across the full HR function.
There will also be numerous opportunities to be involved in the roll-out of specific projects, supporting the rest of the HR function.
This role reports to the HR Director. The role is 37.5 hours per week (0900 - 1700 Mon-Fri with 30 minutes lunchbreak) and we do offer some hybrid working once established in the role, circa 3 days in office, 2 days home.
**Responsibilities for the HR Advisor**:
First point-of-contact for HR matters/queries arising (shared responsibility).
HR advice on queries from employees and line managers, including their use of systems (we use SMB and Brightpay), holiday and sick leave enquiries.
Updating our records and files including the use of HRIS (SMB).
Understanding of HR policies and procedures, providing advice to employees and line managers on their meaning.
Disciplinary and Grievance involvement as a note-taker for the line management as the “HR representative” (shared responsibility).
Conducting exit interviews for any leavers.
Regular recruitment of operational staff, in close liaison with the Resourcing and Operations Manager for our call centre functions.
Recruitment of non-operations staff, liaising with line managers in other departments across the business (marketing, sales, customer services, finance, etc).
Organising and participating in the interview process.
Using internal tools to assist with job evaluation, salary benchmarking and competency identification.
Pre-employment administration including references / background checks as required.
Onboarding preparation for new joiners, liaising with line management and the Training function to ensure that induction and initial training is organised.
Building the organisation’s employer brand through effective use of our presence through job advertising, recruitment fairs, and building local and national reputation.
Reporting key statistics on a weekly and monthly basis to provide visibility of HR and recruitment activity for the business.
Sharing knowledge from your CIPD studies/experience, contributing to the wider HR team’s projects and activities.
**What we need from you**:
CIPD Level 3 qualification (minimum) or Level 5 (desirable).
Exceptional attention to detail.
An understanding of UK employment law in practice.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Full driving licence and access to own vehicle (the role may involve some visits to other company locations).
Strong MS Office skills including Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
Basic understanding of administration using HRIS / HR databases (training can be provided).
**What we’ll give you**:
Salary range £30-32,000 per annum
