The Clinical Governance Assisatnt provides administrative support to the Governance team to ensure the provision of a high quality co-ordinated clinical governance and patient safety service. The post requires the post holder to undertake a supportive role with administrative duties exercising initiative, discretion and skill.

The post holder will work closely with the Governance team to ensure the Care Groups are compliant in all areas of clinical governance and will prioritise work accordingly. The post holder may have contact with patients and staff and must exercise the highest standards of judgement when dealing with them.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- To support the Clinical Governance team in all secretarial and administrative duties. This will include facilitating client and staff meetings, room bookings, taking notes, working with Microsoft word and excel.
- To manage the weekly site incident reports and disseminate to the site clinical leads, Matrons and Ward Managers.
- With the support of the Clinical Governance team facilitate the production of reports, presentations and spreadsheets for the site and team.
- Maintain records of outstanding issues for review.
- Ensure relevant Trust Policies are available and kept updated. Act as the SharePoint administrator for the team.
- Deal with telephone enquiries, resolving queries wherever possible.
- Assist the Clinical Governance team in specific projects relating to data collection and performance management.
- To provide other administrative and supporting tasks as required to meet service needs.
