- Job description- As Technical Officer, you will support our Nuclear Regulation Group with its business planning, programme & project management and its administration. To do this you will have frequent contact with people inside and outside our organisation. You will be expected to resolve problems and implement new ideas to improve our work areas, working alone or with others to do this.
You will be well organised and professional, and you must be proactive and capable of planning & prioritising your own workload. You will also need the people skills to enable you to work effectively with your customers. You will be required to undergo additional security checking for this role.Responding to incidents is a central part of what we do. You will be required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents, or provide business continuity support during an incident. This may attract an additional payment and full training and alternative working arrangements will be available to support you with your incident role.

- The team- Our Nuclear Regulation Group is responsible for regulating the disposal of radioactive waste at sites across England. Whether it is an operational power station, a site undergoing decommissioning & clean-up or a new build project, we work with nuclear operators and other stakeholders to ensure the highest levels of environmental protection are achieved.
- Experience/skills required-
- Experience of business planning, business performance & resource management processes
- Understanding of project management principles and processes.
- Proactive, problem-solving approach
- Ability to work quickly and accurately to tight deadlines.
- Numerate with good written & verbal communication.
