The Role

As a People Advisor you’ll play a key role within the People Operations team by coaching and advising People Leaders (line managers). The People Operations team is part of our wider People (HR) team and our remit covers people processes, systems, data, support, relations & compliance.

You’ll be responsible for advising junior and mid-level London based people leaders on everyday employee issues, such as performance, absence & engagement. Furthermore you’ll lead on employee relations cases such as disciplinaries & grievances. You’ll be someone who is a strong communicator and able to come up with solutions when things are not always black and white.

What you will do...- Advising and coaching junior and mid level People Leaders on their team members performance, engagement and absence.- Lead on disciplinary and grievance cases by ensuring proper procedure is carried out, advising investigation and hearing managers, note taking & preparing paperwork.- Support the Senior People Relations Manager on any complex employee relations cases and appeals.- Regularly review and audit our people data and ensure contractor, visa and fixed term contract end dates are tracked and actioned by our People Operations Coordinator.- Advise and coach people leaders (managers) on probation extensions and dismissals.- Answer complex and escalated employee queries in our People Team Helpdesk (ticketing system).- Compile key data and insights for People Partners covering employee joiners, movers and leavers, employee relations and engagement.- With support from the People Coordinator liaise with employees and people leaders on family leave requests, for example maternity, baby bonding (paternity), shared parental leave, adoption leave etc.- Support on ad hoc People Team and People Partner initiatives and projects, as and when required.

What you will bring...- Demonstrable background as a HR Generalist that includes advising and coaching junior and mid-level managers on people related issues such as performance, absence and engagement.- A solid understanding of UK employment law.- Proven experience in managing employee relations cases ensuring we are compliant with employment legislation and guidelines.- Possess the ability to use good judgement when advising the business on appropriate actions.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills especially with People Leaders (line managers).- Ability to analyse information and present it in a concise and impactful manner- Highly organised with a good attention to detail.- Flexible and adaptable, able to work in a fast paced environment.
