Local Trust was established in 2012 to deliver Big Local, a National Lottery Community Fund programme which committed £1million each to 150 areas across England. The Big Local programme demonstrates the value of long term, unconditional, resident-led funding through supporting local communities make their areas better places to live. We commit our funds at the outset, and then support local residents to develop theirown plans to spend the funding in ways that they collectively agree will improve their local area and lives of those living there. We draw on the learning from our work to promote a wider transformation in the way policy makers, funders and others engage withcommunities and place.
We’re now looking for a Senior Programme Co-ordinator to support the delivery of the Big Local programme on a full-time basis, for an 18 month fixed term contract. We are looking for someone who is proactive, has a flexible approach and can hit the ground runningin a fast-paced role. Secondments from organisations working in community development and/or funding sectors are welcomed.

**The Role**
As a Senior Programme Co-ordinator, you will manage and monitor our funding programmes, primarily Big Local, providing support to those we fund.
Working with the people, partnerships and organisations we fund, you will support the effective and efficient delivery of the programme in line with our policies, procedures, core criteria and grant conditions.
You will also review and analyse a range of information including accounts, budgets, plans and reports to assess risk to the programme.
Additionally, you will:

- Provide high-quality support and guidance to grantees and other key stakeholders
- Monitor budgets and spend reporting of partnerships through grants
- Maintain appropriate administration and reporting systems
**About You**
To be considered as a Senior Programme Co-ordinator, you will need:

- Experience delivering and managing complex community funding programmes
- Experience working with partnerships and consortia at a local, regional or national level
- Experience in carrying out assessments on funding proposals
- Experience in financial planning, monitoring and review
- An understanding of community development, grant management and administration, place-based funding and regeneration, housing, skills, environmental and/or cultural sector funding approaches
- An awareness of the needs of residents, grantees and communities, and ability to builds rapport and establish effective relationships with all stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills
- A degree or equivalent, professional qualification or equivalent work experience
