The Housing Adviser is the first point of contact for enquiries from customers who are in housing need or who are homeless or threatened with homelessness.

The role will involve undertaking initial triage assessments and offering Support, Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) to customers on a range of housing options in order to assist them to find housing solutions.

The role will also involve providing administrative support to the Housing Services team, dealing with messages and telephone calls received through the Council’s CRM system, post, stationery orders and the scanning and indexing of customers documents.

We are looking for a capable and motivated individual to join our Housing Services team. Ideally you will have experience of working within a housing or customer services background and be interested in supporting and helping people and families who are in housing need.

You will be a team player who is articulate, organised, and motivated to work well under pressure delivering first class housing services. The ability to empathise, and confidently communicate with a wide range of people is essential. If you would like to make a positive impact within the community then this role may be for you.
