**Finance Officer**

**This is an exciting opportunity to join a renowned leather manufacturer in the heart of the UK. Roma Leather is a small manufacturing business based in rural Naseby, Northamptonshire. Our premium leather goods are sold to the likes of Charles Tyrwhitt, The White Company, Bonobos, TK Maxx and other notable brands.**

We have been building our portfolio and customer base for the past 40 years and due to our growth over the past 12 month, we’re looking for an amazing individual to join our close knit team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wishes to grow with a business and take on further responsibilities as the company grows.

**The Role**:
You will be responsible for the day to day, general administration duties at our office to assist the finance manager. Your responsibilities will include:

- Monthly journal postings, analysis and working on Sage and Excel
- Organising weekly and monthly payroll as well as pensions, holidays and managing clocking in data
- Monthly and weekly bank reconciliations and postings - experience/knowledge of invoice factoring and cash management advantageous
- Management of the purchase and sales ledger, credit control and invoice processing
- Audit checks and assisting with stock management
- Petty cash management
- General administrative support and ad hoc duties as required
- Upholding and enforcing processes and company rules in the organisation as appropriate
- Liaising with invoice finance provider
- Producing monthly reconciliations and supporting evidence
- Month end duties
- Maintaining spreadsheets associated with PAYE, VAT, Ecommerce sales and depreciation
- Advising with production planning from a finance point of view
- Booking in goods through sage
- Be either AAT qualified or QBE
- Be able to follow the correct procedures and show initiative
- Be confident in addressing where procedures are not being followed
- Be able to prioritise workflow according to importance and work methodically
- Be computer literate and experienced with SAGE and Microsoft Office

**Essential Skills**:

- Good communicator
- Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Good time management - can prioritise tasks
- Well organised and methodical
- Strong attention to detail

Contracted 20 hours per week (this can be discussed and is flexible.)

**Salary**: Salary circa £25K (pro rata)
