**T**he job in a nutshell

As an Events Advisor you will support the delivery of the Group Sales team accuracy, productivity and conversion targets, in order to grow sales and achieve budgeted revenue targets.

You will do this by proactively managing large scale event bookings and enquiries, delivering a great experience to customers

What you’ll be doing

Sales and Service

Management of large scale, high value and complex event bookings bookings (c.100 rooms +) via a central booking system. (2019 value £3.5m)

Proactively drive conversion of enquiries to bookings by building relationships with our corporate and leisure customers, overcoming conversion blockers by liaising with revenue managers and operational teams.

Ensure Hotels are provided with all of the information they need to deliver a successful stay.

Use knowledge of the current customer base to identify new business opportunities and work with internal colleagues such as Groups Sales Team Manager and Business Development Director to develop these relationships.

Maintain agreed accuracy, productivity and SLA’s

Occasionally provide out of hours cover when identified as a requirement.

Flag to Team Manager any opportunities to improve the in-hotel service and proposition for Group customers.

Internal Stakeholders

Support the training and induction of new starters

Build relationships with other internal departments including Revenue, Hotel Booking Support Team,Ops, Accounts and Customer Services

Work as part of a team and liaise with the relevant internal departments to ensure that all bookings are made with accuracy and in a timely manner

What we’ll expect from you

To succeed in the role, you’ll bring your natural curiosity and ability to build relationships and desire to work in a fast paced, target driven sales environment. You’ll be comfortable calling customers to follow up queries and manage their bookings from enquiry to stay.

In addition you’ll need to demonstrate:
