**Interim Communications Assistant -Hybrid Working - PSR 1JP00067126**
**JOB INFO**: A Communications Assistant is needed on a contract basis for approximately 6-9 months, to proactively manage, co-ordinate and deliver communications both internally and externally to support and enhance the reputation of the business. You will be an experienced professional with strong skills in writing press releases, newsletter copy, blogs, and digital content. You will work with other members of the communications team to create and plan public relations strategies and campaigns to enhance brand, image, and voice, alongside delivering and disseminating material that increases visibility amongst stakeholders. You will need to be experienced in communications planning and delivery plus leading and implementing a strategy to support a growing and busy function. You will identify news stories and other communications opportunities and devise packages to promote them.
**What you’ll do**:

- Provide communications advice and support to Site Directors and seniors stakeholders.
- Work closely with communications peers at key stakeholder organisations to maximise opportunities for joint working.
- Handle reactive news calls ensuring that the media understand our priorities
- Set clear objectives for your work and select the right channels for your audiences (press, partnerships digital/social media, advertising, PR).
- Set targets and evaluation to demonstrate the impact of your communications.

**Who you are**:

- Experience of working within a communications/public relations/media/marketing environment
- Experience of building relationships with a broad range of stakeholders and customers
- Creating and maintaining robust relationships with the media (Regulators, Media, councils)
- Experience of working with and delivering a range of multimedia tools.
- Awareness of the nuclear power industry and decommissioning environment - desirable but not essential
- Flexibility to travel to sites when required - essential (please ensure you are within a reasonable commutable distance to one of the Magnox sites)
- Business/Marketing/PR/Media qualification - HNC/D or equivalent, or relative experience
- Membership of a relevant professional body - e.g., CIPR (desirable but not essential)
- Security Clearance: BPSS
- TRIPLE BAR training - desirable
