**Brand Awareness** - ensure the brand and brand values run through the heart of all we do here at Jessie May. Make sure the brand is adhered to and remains fresh and UpToDate.
Develop, implement and monitor key messages and brand activity across the various platforms working to the agreed strategy.Responsible for all Jessie May internal communications -including notice boards, internal newsletters and be a key member of the Jessie May working intranet group,

**Direct Mail/Print/Advertising **Develop content and manage production of all Jessie May publications including the website, direct mail, appeals, campaigns, family communications, fundraising collateral, merchandise procurement, external newsletters, JM awareness and fundraising leaflets, impact report and annual report.

**Appeals/Campaigns**

Create campaign toolkits for fundraising e.g., sponsor a nurse, appeals etc. and work with corporate partners to develop bespoke activity alongside existing brand guidance.
Liaise with external agencies to develop campaign and appeal activity to support fundraising and awareness campaigns.

**Content**

To work and build rapport across teams to secure content in line with the annual content planner for which you will be responsible.
Produce engaging multi channel content both ahead of time and to tight deadlines when required.

Collate Family stories, engage with families and the nursing team to prepare and implement engaging materials.

**PR**

To liaise and work closely with the outsourced PR to provide regular stories for external PR activity (content planner) and coordinate all external communication activity.

**Photography and video**

Liaise with the Fundraising Assistant to support the asset library for photos and videos. To support the creation of new photo and videos content.

**Patron and Ambassadors**

To support the patron and ambassador internal working group working to develop, monitor and increase engagement through the patron and ambassador programme.

**Strategy Implementation**

Responsible for providing regular reports on all marketing and communications activity relating to the agreed communications and marketing strategy.
To analyze marketing and communications performance and make recommendations to the Director of Funding Development to inform both internal and external stakeholders and guide strategic direction.

Continue the stakeholder mapping research to develop targeted and segmented marketing and communications campaigns.
To work with the Director of Funding Development to ensure continuous development of the communications strategy, monitoring progress and reporting as required.

**Collaboration **Work alongside the fundraising team to advise and support the development of individual marketing and communications plans which are integral to the organisation wide communications strategy to increase awareness supporting income generation.
To liaise with external partners as required to increase capacity and resources within the teams. For example, digital activity and External PR activity.Relationship building across the Jessie May teams and external partners for example; University Hospitals Bristol &Weston (UHBW), corporate partners.
To provide communications practical support to the crisis management team.
Working with external partnerships e.g. UHBW, Together for Short Lives (TFSL) be responsible for the coordination of all affiliate marketing campaigns, maximizing income and data capture.

**General **To attend events and activities representing Jessie May throughout the UK. You may on occasion be required to work out of hours, but toil will be given. To carry out any other duties as requested by your Line Manager.

Commitment to continuous professional development Marketing or communications qualifications

**EXPERIENCE**

Account management experience
Experience gained through working in a creative agency Experience gained in the voluntary sector

Experience across all marketing and communications functions including: Brand development, Web and social media, PR and media relations, Paid for media activity, Creative design, Storytelling, Copy content

Experience of developing, implementing and monitoring a marketing and communications

including digital and social media strategy

**KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING**

Detailed knowledge on latest developments in PR, marketing, digital and social media

Solid understanding of the requirements of the main social media platforms and of producing and optimising conten

**SKILLS AND ABILITIES ESSENTIAL DESIRABLE **Excellent copy writing skills with the ability to write compelling and persuasive copy in different styles for different audiences

Exceptional presentation and persuasive skills and ability to promote Jessie May to new and existing audiences

Able to assimilate complex information and develop content to communicate in a simple way.
