**JOB OVERVIEW**

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Finance Managerwho has experience of effectively managing the accounts process for purchase ledger, sales ledger, stock management, payroll and VAT, with excellent leadership, communication and organisationalskills.

As the Finance Manager you will ensure that the accounting processes and procedures are fully compliant and completed in line with company standards and timescales.

Working as the Finance Manager you will ensure the company’s audit protocols and HMRC requirements remain compliant at all times.

**DUTIES**

Your duties as the Finance Manager will include:

- Effective processing and management of purchase ledger
- Effective processing and management of sales ledger to include company stock management
- Management of monthly payroll and all HMRC administration and RTI filing
- Processing and management of accruals and pre-payments
- Reconciliation of quarterly VAT accounts and HMRC submissions
- Processing and management of fixed asset register
- Reconciliation to Trial Balance.
- Production and reporting of Management Accounts, including full commentary and analysis
- Effectively manage spreadsheets for all financial requirements, supporting team members as required.
- Production and management of budgets and forecasts
- Management of both Debtor and Creditor positions in line with company policy whilst ensuring a positive cash flow
- Process all bank transactions and reconciliation of all company accounts, to include intercompany transfers
- Effectively manage and lead a team of accounting personnel
- Continually review and develop Sage accounting and payroll systems ensuring that processes and procedures are adopted
- Responsible for Year End preparation including liaising with auditors

**CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**
- Previous experience in a similar finance / accounting management role essential, having worked in an SME environment
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Exceptional organisational skills
- Good communicator both verbally and in writing
- Excellent IT skills, including Excel and Sage
