**Job Title: CNC Machinist**

**Location**: Camberley, United Kingdom

**Salary**: Circa £46,000 per annum

**Company Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Follow the relevant component product development process.
- Develop machining programs for parts modeled on our CAD system, optimizing set-up times and run times for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Identify and select appropriate tooling considering materials and cutting parameters.
- Set up machines and materials to run programs efficiently.
- Operate machines (Vertical Machining Centre, Mill turn, and Manual machines).
- Make machine set-up/program adjustments as necessary.
- Ensure the maintenance of component quality standards.
- Conduct production machining following provided programs.
- Validate programs and maintain records of programming, set-up, and run times for integration into the ERP system.
- Mentor and train new Operators.
- Assist in costing/estimation for future projects.
- Collaborate with the Design team for existing parts improvement and 'Design for Manufacture' of new parts.
- Participate in the product cost improvement program.
- Monitor and initiate scrap reduction programs when necessary.

**Required Skills and Experience**:

- HNC or equivalent with evidence (certificates).
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in programming using the Fanuc control system (30 series).
- Desirable: Experience in offline programming CAD CAM development.
- Desirable: Apprenticeship.
- Desirable: Experience in programming and operating a 3-axis Vertical Machining Centre, 4th & 5th axis experience.
- Desirable: Experience in using Feature CAM or similar software.
- Desirable: Experience in programming and operating mill turn with X, Z & C axis.
- Desirable: Experience with 4th axis, sub-spindle, and bar feeder.
- Strong team player with good collaboration skills.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Good numeracy skills and attention to detail.
- Quality-focused with a commitment to accuracy.
- Organized, efficient, and able to work independently.

**Salary**: £42,000.00-£46,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Camberley: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- CNC Machining: 1 year (preferred)
