Contek Recruitment are proud to represent our client, a leading provider of CNC machining, prototyping, and engineering services based in Camberley, Surrey. We are seeking a skilled 5-Axis CNC Miller Offline Programmer to contribute to diverse projects spanning aviation, scientific research, defense, and motorsport industries.
Key Responsibilities:
* Utilize your expertise in CNC programming to create efficient machining strategies for components and fabrications on 5-axis CNC milling machines.
* Translate engineering drawings, models, and specifications into CNC programs using CAM software, ideally with experience in Fusion 360 or other transferrable systems, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
* Optimize tool paths, speeds, and feeds to maximize machining efficiency while maintaining high quality and precision standards.
* Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot any programming or machining issues, ensuring smooth project workflow.
* Conduct thorough testing and simulation of CNC programs to identify and resolve any potential issues before production.
* Work on various machinery controls including Fanuc, Mazak, and Siemens machinery, adapting programming techniques accordingly.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a CNC Programmer, with a strong focus on 5-axis milling operations.
* Proficiency in CAM software, ideally with experience in Fusion 360, but open to candidates with expertise in other transferrable systems.
* Familiarity with machinery controls such as Fanuc, Mazak, and Siemens machinery, adapting programming techniques accordingly.
* Solid understanding of machining principles, tooling selection, and machining parameters.
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and 3D CAD models.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
