An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and highly enthusiastic individual to join the Medical Education team. Medical Education is responsible for ensuring the delivery and quality management of education and training of Medical Students and Junior Doctors (doctors in training and locally employed doctors). The department is responsible for developing, managing and delivering a wide range of high quality and cost effective medical educational activities, as required by Medical Schools, Universities, Health Education England, the General Medical Council and the Trust (University Hospitals Birmingham (UHB)).

The post holder will be responsible for delivering and assisting with local, regional and national events for Medical Education. The post holder will develop and provide a standardised medical induction for all new junior doctor starters in order to provide assurances around patient safety, as well as a committed and resilient workforce ready for clinical challenges ahead. The post holder will also lead on Medical Education activities and events, such as study days, conferences and associated educational activities for our medical staff.

The post holder will work closely with the Postgraduate Medical Education Managers, providing direct support in the management of Postgraduate Medical Education services. On occasion, when service needs dictate the post holder will also be required to deputise in the absence of the Postgraduate Medical Education Managers.
