**Health & Safety Officer**

**Role**
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic team. We are looking for a self-motivated go-getter to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Officer to ensure the organisation, premises, and project construction sites are all compliant with health and safety legislation, regulations, and good practice You will have a strategic approach, strong negotiation skills and an in-depth understanding of construction site procedures.
**Responsibilities**
- Engage and promote safety at all levels and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Maintain and review all H&S records as required, under the umbrella of our H&S service provider.
- Carry out site audits and inspections across premise in the Group and at project construction sites.
- Ensure that suitable and sufficient risk assessments and method statements are in place for all company activities, making recommendations for improvement and ensuring implementation.
- Assist in the preparation of Construction Phase Plans and advise on requirements under CDM regulations.
- Manage and report on Health and Safety matters and maintain KPIs (AFR/AIR, Near Misses etc)
- H&S training for employees and subcontractors
- Inductions / Occupational health
- Manage P&E and fleet vehicle statutory records.
**Essential**
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience on a construction site
- Health and Safety Cert, Diploma or Degree is essential.
- Self-motivated with a positive can-do attitude
- Good working knowledge of Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook.
- Good communication skills and able to deal with Site Supervisors/Manager, Senior Management and Sub-Contractors.
**Salary**: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
