**The Role**

Centre of Excellence in Terrorism, Resilience, Intelligence & Organised Crime Research (CENTRIC) is looking for a software developer to play a key role developing new and contemporary technologies in a number of major European Union projects.

You will be working as part of a dedicated project team and with European partners (including UK and European Law Enforcement Agencies) within CENTRIC contributing to the delivery of several projects.

You will be expected to support the day-to-day implementation of project activities undertaking tasks such as requirements analysis, project planning, support for piloting activities, and preparation of project reports and deliverables.

You will also develop strong links with universities, law enforcement agencies, intergovernmental organisations, and industry, and the opportunity to work closely with researchers and practitioners with a wide range of technical expertise.

CENTRIC is a multidisciplinary, security-focused research centre, located at Sheffield Hallam University. By collaborating with a number of academic, law enforcement, government and industry partners from across the EU, CENTRIC's objective is to address issues and provide solutions to some of Europe's most pressing contemporary security challenges.

CENTRIC aims to provide a platform for researchers, practitioners, policymakers and the public to focus on applied research in the security domain. The Centre's activities are firmly underpinned by due consideration for citizen perspectives, the interests and engagement of all end-users, as well as key societal and relevant ethical issues.
