**Head of Controls Assessment**
**Glasgow / Northampton / Bournemouth**

Aa a Barclays Head of Controls Assessment, you will ensure the TC01 control libraries are maintained in accordance with the Controls Framework, internal Policies and Standards and are regularly assessed and updated with changes in the Control Environment. You will manage and proactively maintain Control Libraries, ensuring controls are documented in line with relevant Standards. Lastly, you will ensure Completeness and Accuracy of the Controls in the Library, complete annual review, respond to changes in the control environment.

**What will you be doing?**
- Leading a team who are accountable for the continued management and enhancement of the Control Libraries
- Managing the annual process led One Risk Assessment (formerly Risk and Controls Self-Assessment)
- Understanding and being able to assess the impact that change and continuous improvement initiatives
- Managing multiple stakeholder engagements across all lines of defense
- Exerting leadership and working effectively towards a common purpose
- Leading and developing a team of 6 AVPs to success

**What we’re looking for**:

- Detailed understanding of requirements of a Process-led Risk and Controls Self-Assessment, preferably within a practical operational environment
- Proven ability to cope under pressure, managing a wide range of priorities with multiple objectives
- Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills across the organization

**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Bachelor’s Degree level qualification or equivalent, with Risk and Control certification (IRM) preferred
- Politically astute and able to understand the dynamics of large, complex organizations
- Broad working knowledge of the Wholesale Client On-Boarding / Financial Crime Operational functions including associated processes and controls
- Excellent written communications skills needed to effectively deliver quality outputs across wide range of governance reporting

**Where will you be working?**
Glasgow

Northampton

Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997.
We purchased the building from the landlord in early 2018 as a sign of our commitment to investment in Northampton. Plans to further develop this Campus-style location are under way to allow for a real collaborative work environment. Based just off the A45 it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.

Bournemouth

The Bournemouth Wealth Office is located between Bournemouth and Poole with Sandbanks beach no more than 500 metres from the front door. We have a significant number of restaurants and sports clubs locally which make this a great office to work in. We work very closely with our BUK colleagues and share the growing Barclays Eagle Lab on site. This creates significant interest across the region and provides an opportunity for the teams to get together regularly.
