Commercial Loan Executive Apprenticeship

This is an exciting apprenticeship opportunity working for a European fund manager specialising in credit and real estate. You will be part of the Bergen Capital Management team supporting the management of a diverse portfolio of commercial loan accounts.
Bergen is the UK’s Commercial Real Estate (CRE) team in Arrow Global Ltd. We’re a small, collaborative team that manages a diverse portfolio of commercial loan accounts on an individual basis and services a growing portfolio of residential rental assets in the UK. Whilst ensuring we follow the right procedures, we’re customer-centric, working in a dynamic, non-process driven way in which trust and the ability to ‘think outside the box’ are essential. No two days or loans are the same, so a creative and flexible approach to work is a must.
- Maintaining loan account management reports and income trackers, ensuring their accuracy. These are key to allowing us to monitor our borrowers and their performance.
- Producing accurate monthly reporting packs containing details of borrower payments received and income levels achieved. These are used by us and our clients and allow us to spot trends and patterns in portfolio performance.
- Flexibly supporting and working closely with the team, jointly undertaking offsite visits with clients and borrowers. You will help to keep minutes and notes of meetings and learn how to assess properties and the areas they are in.
- Speaking with borrowers, helping with day-to-day queries and referring complex matters to other members of the team.
- You’ll be invited to networking opportunities enabling you to build and grow internal and external networks. They’re great fun and you’ll meet lots of new people.
- You’ll have the opportunity to travel within the UK, with the occasional overnight stay.
**What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?**
CISI Level 2 Introduction in Securities and Investment
The training will be delivered by Fitch Learning and is hybrid.
**What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?**
Permanent role available on successful completion of the apprenticeship and passing CISI exam
