Our client are a leading UK membership body tackling high profile issues in transport and environment policy.

Working as part of alongside colleagues in policy and regulation, this Public Affairs Manager will proactively promote awareness of key issues their industry, which include challenges in climate change, trade and financing.

We're looking for a campaigner with demonstrable influencing and effective engagement experience.

**Responsibilities will include**:
- Managing relationships with a diverse range of industry stakeholders as well as MPs and Government departments
- Shaping communications campaigns, consistently improving on existing approaches
- Managing the commissioning and production of policy research
- Representing the organisation in internal and external activities including conferences and committees

- Sound knowledge of UK national and local policy-making and political process with experience of having built relationships with political and professional decision makers
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to translate complex issues into creative narrative
- Demonstrable experience of developing and running effective campaigns
- Highly organised and self-motivated
- Some experience of working in environment, business, energy or transport would be valuable
