**THE COMPANY**:
A leading trade association for insurers is currently looking to recruit an experienced Public Affairs Advisor to join them on a permanent basis. They have fantastic offices in the heart of the City.
**THE ROLE**:
Some responsibilities you may have but not limited to:

- To work proactively with Manager, Public Affairs and Assistant Director, Head of External Affairs, in delivering effective political engagement and legislative monitoring on key policy areas affecting the company.
- Promoting the aims and objectives of the company and helping secure the outcomes and deliverable set out in the company Business Plan and strategy
- Develop constructive relationships with key stakeholders including the company member representatives, parliamentarians, government officals and wider stake-holding.
- Co-ordinating and implement programmes of engagement with parliamentarians and stakeholders, including coordinating the delivery of the company events in parliament, representing the company and insurance industry individually
- Prepare and communicate high-quality and concisely articulated materials for internal and external audiences, including briefings ahead of Parliamentary debates, and responding to Parliamentary Questions and Ministerial Statements.

**THE PERSON**:

- An understanding of the mechanisms for effective engagement with a range of stakeholders and in-depth knowledge of UK political processes and environment
- Good team working and interpersonal skills and commitment to working proactively with colleagues and stakeholders to get results
- Proactive, flexible and adapt to changing work demands
- Ability to manage several complex work areas simultaneously and independently
- Clear enthusiasm for building and managing effective and positive relationships with members and external stakeholders across a range of organisations and backgrounds
