**Purpose**
- To be responsible for supporting the Assistant Principal and the Head of Quality with the leadership and monitoring of the College’s strategy for quality improvement and quality assurance and to improve standards and compliance across all qualifications.
- To raise learner achievement rates and to develop the overall quality of the learner experience.
- To drive continuous improvement through quality assurance, training and development and the co-ordination of various college wide projects.
- To provide focused support developing new and existing staff including agency staff to improve the standards of teaching, learning and assessment all the college.
**Duties**
- To support the Head of Quality in developing and effectively implementing the College’s strategy for quality improvement and quality assurance and drive identified initiatives to ensure that college targets are met.
- Implementing and reporting on compliance through internal audit of college quality systems and procedures.
- Maintaining the currency and accuracy of all quality assurance policies, procedures and systems.
- Ensure that all qualifications meet and exceeds College expectations.
- To co-ordinate lead internal verifiers to ensure internal assessment and verification meets and exceeds both College and Awarding Organisation standards. To manage department action plans and prepare reports for the sharing of good practice via the analysis of EQA/ SV reports.
- To lead on the processes and provision of information to College regarding national developments and requirements for teaching, learning & assessment related to quality assurance initiatives for all Technical Qualifications (to include T-Levels).
- Support and facilitate Programme Managers in the use of Awarding Organisation systems (e.g. Walled Garden - City & Guilds) to upload required forms in a timely manner.
- Manage the co-ordination of moderator visits, being the point of contact for all awarding organisations.
- Work closely with Exams/MIS Team to ensure all internal and external assessments are uploaded in a timely manner.
- To support the Head of Quality with the coordination of the Department Review and Teaching, Learning and Assessment Review (TLAR) processes including the completion of a range of observations and learning walks of teaching, learning and assessment activities, including classroom based, workplace, on/off site & quality audits to support College priorities.
- To provide support in preparation for, during and immediately following external inspection.
- Carry out audits of college systems e.g. ProMonitor, Markbook etc to ensure compliance and action plan to support improvement.
- To be an active member of the College Wider Management Group.
- To conduct audits and risk reviews of areas of work as commissioned by the College Leadership and Management Team.
- To support the production of accurate reports on the College quality assurance mechanisms to continuously improve the standard of teaching, learning and assessment across the organisation.
- Any other duties of a similar level of responsibility as may be required.
