Key Responsibilities include:
- Be conversant in packaging production processes and associated quality procedures to support manufacturing and facilitate solutions to quality related issues.
- Support incident investigations that identify root causes of major non-conformances. Working with Filling, Blowmoulding and Logistics personnel to conduct effective investigations.
- Generate/collate data and evaluation of quality failures in materials or intermediate/finished goods attributes to drive cost reduction, performance improvement and less waste.
- Audit/contact suppliers as and when required, ensuring all processes and procedures in place are suitable for RMB requirements.
- Communicating all non-conforming raw material information quickly and ensuring as far as possible that suppliers introduce their own preventative actions.
- Provide support for first production batches to ensure that they are correctly set and that quality is acceptable with the customer.
- Attend Departmental Communication Briefs and promote generation and discussion of new ideas with departmental colleagues.
- Audit procedures to confirm compliance.
- Communicate with other department colleagues to share learnings/resolve issues promptly.
- Raise Health & Safety standards by performing planned inspections, risk assessments and accident investigations.
Key Result Areas:
- Increased technical understanding of blending operation, filling and blow moulding improvement areas
- Involvement of key site projects to plan
- Reduced downtime and operating costs through improved internal and external quality of goods/materials
- Identification and implementation of cost reduction initiatives through process development
- Improved processes for implementation of new products/improvements/changes to existing products.
- Demonstrate improvement in departmental KPI’s through effective monitoring and review
- Quantifiable improvement in cost of goods, supplier conformance, internal conformance
Relevant and Quantifiable Measures:
- Drives improvement, change, cost reduction, efficiency improvement and supports department teams to deliver continuous improvement
- Supports projects, provides information and development of their own skills.
- Ensure development and fulfilment of the Site and Company Business Plans
- Contribute and support site and group business objectives through core values
No direct reports member of site MSQA team.
12 hour continental shift pattern.

Technical Competencies & Qualifications:
- Understanding of Weights and measures legislation and European Standards
- QA/QC/EHS experience, in an FMCG environment.
- Understanding of key packaging materials (blowmoulded bottles,labels, outercases, closures)
- Experience in Continuous Improvement Projects
- Qualified in a Technical / Quality subject preferably to ‘A’ Level standard / equivalent or above
- Computer Literate (Excel. Word. e-mail)
- Experience of internal auditing
