**Role purpose**

The industry has set some ambitious targets to tackle the environmental impacts of their production, and whilst action continues off screen, attention is turning onscreen.

With audiences of billions watching film and TV there is a huge opportunity to use this platform and engage the public in climate change and the solutions available to tackling it.

albert has grown significantly in recent years with demand from broadcasters mandating our certification, international territories expanding quickly and a new Climate Content Pledge signed at COP26 committed the likes of BBC, Sky and Discovery to ‘more and better’ climate content.

The primary purpose of the role is to assist in data collection and analysis as part of a rapid evidence synthesis exploring the effect of messaging and framing approaches on audiences’ pro-environmental behavioural outcomes. This is an opportunity to be a crucial part of a small research team at albert. The role is funded by the University of York but you will be employed by BAFTA albert, and will have networking opportunities within both organisations. There may be opportunities for the work to feed in to industry-facing resources and outreach, as well as a peer-reviewed paper. You will work closely with our Research Fellow and the Sustainable Production Manager (albert).

**Ideally you will have**:
An undergraduate degree in environmental social science/communications or equivalent experience
Be undertaking, or have recently completed, MSc or PhD in relevant area
Knowledge and experience of conducting systematic literature reviews or rapid evidence syntheses
Ability to organise own research activities to agreed deadlines and quality standard
Excellent IT skills including database skills
Ability to critically examine information and data
Excellent written communication in order to contribute effectively to the production of research reports and publications
High level oral communication skills to enable the effective presentation of research progress and outcomes to key stakeholders
Ability to communicate new and complex information effectively to a range of audience
Ability to work as part of a team and also to work independently using own initiative
Experience of data analysis and synthesis
Experience of working in environmental communication
Experience writing peer-reviewed research papers

Willing to work proactively with colleagues in other work areas/institutions
Able to plan and prioritise own work in order to meet deadlines
Committed to open science and ethical practice
