You will be part of a team that is responsible for operating assets at Gloucester Groundwater Treatment Works and potentially other major works in the STW region, including Raw Water Sources, Raw Water Storage Reservoirs, through plant processes and Distribution Service Reservoirs.

Your role will be to produce drinking water to high quality standards for our customers, in the most cost efficient and safe manner. At Severn Trent we take pride in knowing we come to work each day and help make a difference to our customers, working together with our colleagues to solve problems as soon as we can.
You’ll participate in an annualised hours shift team working a 24/7/365 shift rota which include a mixture of mixture of morning, day and night shifts. The role will include working alongside a dedicated maintenance team and Team Manager. There will be occasions whereby you will work alone and complete a handover for the next shift team. The shift rota gives great work/life balance and you will be rewarded with ample rest days and an annualised shift allowance in addition to your salary.

Some of your other key accountabilities will include:

- Carry out onsite testing using a variety of testing methods.
- Interpret information from multiple sources and identify potential problems before they occur.
- Ensure sites and assets are operated at the minimum cost and in an energy efficient way.
- Comply with and contribute to statutory, company & treatment works policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate positive attitudes and behaviours.
- Flexible approach, with the ability to react quickly and efficiently to changes on any given day or over the course of the job role.
- For the role you will be expected to take part of a standby rota
