**The Role - Supply Chain Coordinator ( Food )**

Fresh People are currently looking to recruit a Supply Chain Coordinator for their client a Fine Foods Distribution Business based in Dartford in Kent. In this role you are fully accountable for the procurement of European Food Products so a working knowledge of import and export would be required. You will be required to support the purchasing and sales teams build supplier relationships with non UK suppliers whilst managing cost controls and stock management.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Establishing forecasts for long term demand across suppliers to include seasonal availability of products
- Establish previous customer ordering profile and ensure management of inventory of stock
- Monitor stock levels and place orders to ensure order fulfilment
- Obtain purchase requisitions and PO numbers prior to ordering materials, goods and supplies
- Setting up of new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details
- Maintain updated records if purchased products, delivery schedule and invoicing
- Procure European products including Fresh, Dairy & Meat predominantly from France in support of customer orders
- Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers, implement supply agreements and process orders
- Negotiate contracts terms of agreement and pricing where possible, addressing price variances / queries
- Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases
- Track orders to ensure smooth arrival of products
- Liaise with Good In team on booking in issues
- Review deliveries upon arrival against orders to ensure no discrepancy
- Manage any over, under orders and good arrived damaged with your suppliers
- Review product quality of products
- Update reports on purchases including cost analysis work closely with Purchase Ledger and Accounts Payable
- Month end order reconciliation

**Salary**: £35,000.00 per year

**Experience**:

- Supply chain: 1 year (preferred)
- Import and export working knowledge: 1 year (required)
