Our client, an independent accountancy practice, is seeking a Bookkeeper to join their small friendly team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a practice situated within a beautiful rural location, who have a very good reputation for high-qualitypersonal service.

The role will predominantly be completing bookkeeping but there will be the opportunity to start to train in accounts preparation / management accounts. The ideal individual will have strong interpersonal skills, an outgoing personality and will work wellin a small friendly team environment.

This is an office based role and due to the rural location of the company a driving licience is essential.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Bookkeeping duties for a range of clients using a variety of software
- Supporting clients with bookkeeping and software queries
- Liaising with clients to ensure all records can be completed and VAT Returns filed within deadline
- Develop and maintain good client relations

**Skills and experience required**:

- AAT qualified or studying
- 2 years experience in an accounting position within practice
- Good working knowledge of Excel (formulas, VLOOKUP)
- Experience with accounting software desirable (Xero, Sage 50 and Iris)
- Good working knowledge of accounting procedures
- Extremely organised and self-motivated, with strong interpersonal skills, able to work in a small team

**Salary and benefits**:

- £24,000 - £27,000
- Study support for accountancy qualifications
- On-site car parking
- 20 days annual holiday + 8 bank holidays (increases by 1 day per year)
- Private Health Care (after 3 month probation)
