**Job Title:** Management Accountant
**Job Summary:** FRS Ltd is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for preparing monthly management and annual statutory reporting for our group of companies.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Financial Reporting:** Prepare monthly and year-end closings, consolidated accounts, and commentary.
- **Accounting and Bookkeeping:** Manage ledger maintenance, bookkeeping, budgeting, and forecasting.
- **Compliance:** Ensure strict FCA and SRA compliance rules are maintained.
- **Payroll and VAT:** Manage group VAT returns, payroll arrangements, and client payment approvals.
- **Financial Analysis:** Provide monthly P&L and Balance Sheet analysis, highlighting key variances to budget.
- **Process Improvement:** Assist in developing document processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal records.
- **Intercompany Postings:** Manage intercompany postings and ensure company balances agree.
- **Payroll Management:** Manage relationship with our third-party payroll provider and assist in bringing payroll in-house.
- **Quarterly VAT Returns:** Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns.
- **Audit and Tax:** Coordinate with external audit and tax teams.
- **Cash Management:** Manage group cash balances, ensuring sufficient amounts remain in each company to comply with internal policy and external covenants.
- **GAAP and Best Practices:** Ensure compliance with GAAP principles and best practices set by the Finance Director.
- **Financial Reporting:** Complete financial reports on a regular basis and provide information to the CFO.
**Requirements:**
- **Qualifications:** Working towards ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualification, or already qualified.
- **Experience:** At least 2-3 years of experience in management or financial accounting, preferably in the Financial Services, Legal Services, or Professional Services sector.
- **Skills:** Proficiency in Xero accounting software, consolidation tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- **Personal Qualities:** Strong written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, ability to work on own initiative, team worker, highly organized, and efficient time management.
