Purchasing Coordinator

This is a new and exciting role within an innovative company who supply beautifully designed, bespoke and eco friendly products into some of the UK's most well known retailers.

They are looking for an organised and efficient person to support the Purchasing Manager and wider purchasing function and assist in the buying in of goods and services that offer the best price, quality and delivery for the company and customer.

**Other responsibilities will include**:

- Build and maintain good relationships with existing factory and new factories which come on board
- To Understand the product capabilities, range of products and capacity of current and future factories
- Prepare and manage Request for quotes
- Prepare and track sample requests
- Attend and take minutes at supplier meetings
- Arrange and attend internal weekly meetings to discuss current projects
- Assist with the preparation and issuing of purchase orders to suppliers
- Review Purchase orders and associated paperwork from suppliers to ensure deliveries match the orders
- Ensure company values are met by working with compliance, ethical, diversity and sustainability standards
- Assist in the analysis of product based costing documents received from factories
- To support across customer projects
- Take responsibility for purchase department sample inventories
- Assist with the review and tracking of supplier critical paths to ensure all on track to meet delivery schedules

**Your background**:
You will have a solid understanding of purchasing, buying or workig within a project support environment ideally with an understanding of shipping manifests, international freight and supply chain.

You will be logical, numerical and competent in Excel, Word and Outlook.

A knowledge of Sage Accounts 50 would be advantageous.

Full time office based role working 08.30am to 5pm - Some flexibility may be considered.

Salary up to £27,000 per annum depending on experience.
