CK Group are recruiting for a Senior Laboratory Scientist to join an independent diagnostic laboratory based near Blackpool. This position is a permanent role offering a salary upto £35,000.
**The Company**:
Our client is a well-established, independent diagnostic laboratory providing services to veterinary practices across the UK and worldwide.
**Senior Laboratory Scientist Role**:
Your main duties will involve:

- Preparation of Cytology smears and fluids for analysis.
- Performing tissue trimming, embedding, microtomy, staining and special staining techniques for Histological evaluation.
- Liaising with Lead Pathologist for distribution of Cytology/Histology sides to pathologists.
- EQA scheme submission, reviewing and troubleshooting.
- SOP reviewing
- Providing direct training and support to Laboratory Scientists and Assistant Laboratory Scientists

**Your Background**:

- Educated to a BSc/MSc in a life sciences degree
- Minimum of 4 years of industrial experience in Histology, Cytology or Pathology
- Experience of Digital Pathology - advantageous
- Familiar with LIMS
- Managerial experience would be desirable
