**Bookkeeper/VAT assistant Responsibilities**:
- Bookkeeping for clients from across a range of industries ranging from £100k - 15million turnover clients.
- Preparing and filing VAT returns and communicating with clients on bookkeeping and basic aspects of VAT
- Assisting with Management Accounts for clients
- Liaising with other members of the accounts team to verify their work and ensure the highest levels of accuracy are maintained
**Hours**:
**Required Skills & Experience**
- Previous experience of bookkeeping and VAT knowledge
- Being able to handle a large workload and communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure that all tasks are completed
- Experience of computerised accounts packages such as SAGE, Xero
- Keen eye for detail with the ability to critique own work along with the work of others
- Concise communication with customers and colleagues
- MS office skills (specifically word and excel)
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Punctual and reliable with a can-do attitude
