**Family Description and Location**

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Housekeeper Cook to join an informal British family residing in their large country estate in Oxfordshire. The family consists of a couple and their three school-aged children, who have their own nanny and cottage on the estate. The estate has other accommodation is also home to other family members who use it as a weekend retreat and guest accommodation, and they have their own staff. Your primary responsibility will be overseeing the family's cottage. The estate is located near Kidlington, requiring you to have your own transportation. While there are currently no pets at the house, the possibility of getting a dog or cat in the future exists.
- Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organised environment.
- Handle laundry tasks, including ironing, sorting, and folding.
- Organize cupboards and ensure stock is replenished for the house.
- Prepare daily lunches for the couple, and family-style dinners for the entire family, emphasizing healthy and nutritious meals.
- Set the table for dinner without formal service requirements.
- Occasionally assist with school runs, post office errands, and provide childcare when the nanny is unavailable.
- Be adaptable and willing to assist with any tasks necessary to ensure the smooth running of the household.
- Ability to work alongside another staff member (the nanny) and thrive in a busy and friendly estate environment.
- Proficient in cooking family-style meals, with verifiable references and experience working with children.
- Possession of a valid driver's license is essential.
- Exhibit a friendly and adaptable attitude, with a willingness to be flexible and contribute to the overall functioning of the household.

**Days of Work, Accommodation, and Salary**:

- The working schedule is Tuesday to Saturday, with Sundays and Mondays off.
- Working hours are from 8 am to 6 pm, with a 2-hour break during the day (staff room available).
- This role offers the flexibility of living in or living out. If you choose to live in, accommodation is provided in a staff cottage on the estate, sharing kitchen and sitting room facilities with the nanny. You will have your own bedroom and bathroom.
- A car will be provided for on-duty use.
- Immediate start is possible, with the latest start date being mid-August.
- The salary for this position is negotiable, ranging from £35,000, depending on whether you choose to live in or live out and your skill set.
