- 37.5 hours per weekA unique opportunity is available for someone to join the not-for-profit organisation Groundwork South, supporting refugees and migrants settle in Bristol as part of the IMPACT team. The Senior Community Officer will support participants directly through the delivery of activities while also playing an active part in the development of the overall project.

The well-established Integrating Migrant People through Activities to Connect and Thrive (IMPACT) programme aims to support refugees and non-EU migrants to settle into their lives in Bristol and the surrounding areas through a programme of holistic activities, coordinated and delivered through 3 key areas: Language, Preparation for Work and Cultural/Community activities. The programme is primarily funded through the EU Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund, which will come to an end on 31st December 2023. Fundraising is ongoing and legacy plans are in place to ensure the project’s extension for 2024.

**Summary of role**: The Senior Community Officer leads the delivery of a range of community activity sessions as part of the Bristol IMPACT project. These sessions, based around the theme of ‘Culture and Community’ will bring refugees and migrants together in local communities to promote inter-cultural understanding and are likely to include, but not be limited to, visit to culturally relevant sites, food growing, cooking, arts and crafts.
