**About Supported Living Services**:
**Responsibilities of Support Worker**:
- Assess residents' mental health needs and offer emotional support.
- Collaborate on personalised mental health care plans for residents.
- Respond to and manage crises, providing immediate support.
- Maintain accurate records of resident interactions and progress.
- Advocate for residents, ensuring their healthcare needs are met.
- Provide information on mental health, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Support residents in daily activities, including room tidying.
- Work closely with healthcare professionals for comprehensive care.
- Encourage and guide residents in healthy self-care practices.
- Carry out assessments, including risk assessments, for new residents.
- Participate in the on-call rota.
- Deliver specialist training and conduct annual appraisals.
- Create a positive and supportive environment for residents.
- Be non-judgemental, forward-thinking, and passionate about mental health.
- Possess empathy, reliability, and trustworthiness, demonstrating patience and positivity in their consistent care for residents.
- Have a good understanding of mental illness gained through work, volunteering or personal experience.
- Have good communication, organisational and IT skills
- Be highly motivated and committed to improving our service users’ experience
- Be available to work on a 24/7 rota including waking nights.
- Have a RQF Level 3 is desirable
- Enhanced DBS Check is required.
