Homelessness Project Worker

Overview:
We are looking for two experienced Homelessness Project Workers to cover shifts at our Northgate street homeless hostel. To help with a range of complex support needs; these may include substance misuse/addiction and mental health. We need two staff members with good customer service and IT skills, able to lone work, be a good communicator and have a history of working with homelessness and vulnerable adults. The ability to remain calm under pressure, work in a non-judgemental way and have excellent listening skills are essential Enhanced DBS is required for this position. Please note, this is a support position, not a care position.
**Responsibilities**:
- Utilise IT systems effectively to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals.
- Support clients in maintaining their independence and dignity.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the care sector is desirable.
- Proficiency in using IT systems for record keeping.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in English.
- A caring and empathetic nature with a genuine desire to help others.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 3 months
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
**Education**:
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Care home: 1 year (preferred)
**Language**:
- English (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
