Community Fundraising Volunteer

Static collection tins are located across the North West in local businesses and are a significant sustainable source of funds for the charity. **We are looking for volunteers to assist with collecting tins from shops and businesses in Liverpool and/or Sefton**. The role is flexible based on how large an area you would like to cover.
**Please note**
- **This is volunteering, not paid work.**:
- **This role requires a driving licence and access to a car.**:
- **Car mileage expenses reimbursed in line with the charity's general expenses policy.**:
- **Volunteers must be aged 18 or over**
**What you'll get up to**
- Liaising with businesses to find out if they need a tin emptying
- Responding to any requests to empty a tin within your designated route
- When needed, count and bank money you have collected
- Invite more local businesses within your area to have a collection tin on site
**What we need from you**
A friendly, engaging attitude and excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with local supporters. Basic numeracy and literacy skills as well as a knowledge of your local area would be advantageous.
**What we can offer you**
A chance to meet others, utilise existing skills or build new ones whilst gaining the satisfaction of knowing that you are making a vital difference to our work. Training, support and an induction will be provided.
**When and where can I volunteer?**
We have collection tins located across Liverpool and surrounding areas. In particular, we are seeking volunteers to help with routes in and around:
- Liverpool - routes include (1) Bootle, Litherland, Aintree (2) City centre, Toxteth, Wavertree, Speke (3) Anfield, Old Swan, West Derby, Prescot.
- Sefton - Southport and surrounding areas.
**Job Type**: Volunteer
**Salary**: From £5.00 per day

Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
