**Area Sales Manager**

**THE ROLE**: This new Area Sales Manager position is covering the South of the UK for this very well-known and long-established manufacturer of construction products. The Area Sales Manager will be selling concrete & masonry reinforcement productssuch as lintels, fixings, and supports. 100% of these products are sold through merchants, but you will spend 40% of your time dealing with the end user to generate demand and build relationships at all levels. This will include Housebuilders, Developers,and Contractors working on low-rise construction projects such as schools and hospitals.

The Area Sales Manager will be inheriting a very strong area with a lot more potential. Project sizes could be as little as £2k and as large as £1m in value. The Area Sales Manager will be targeting the merchant partners in a top-down approach by gettinginvolved with the regional offices and buying groups. This role would suit someone who understands how builders merchants work and their relationship with contractors on projects.

**Requirements**:To be considered for the Area Sales Manager role you must have:

- B2B sales experience, internal or external.
- Ideally come from the construction industry but not essential.
- Have ideally sold a product rather than a service.
- Have a strong work ethic and passion for sales.
- Are able to spend nights away from home each week where necessary.
- Full UK drivers licence.

Basic: £35,000

OTE: 12%
