Trade Apprentice

**About The Role**:
Do you enjoy doing DIY around the house? Are you looking for a **career change** in a growing and forward thinking organisation? If so, we really want to hear from you.

We have an exciting opportunity available for you to learn all the skills required to become a qualified trades person, within our talented Inhouse Maintenance Service (IMS) team. This role is based in and around the **Bath **area.

You will have an interest in **Kitchen and Bathroom Fitting **and you will undertake an apprenticeship in Property Maintenance.

You will be buddied up with various mentors, who have a wealth of experience in a multitude of core trades. On a day to day basis, you will learn how to carry out regular maintenance jobs in our customer’s homes, while working across several teams and locations. No two days will be the same.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about doing a good job, delivering world class customer service and who are willing to continually learn. Our Apprenticeship programme is a great way to start your career in a trade, learn on the job and gain a qualification and the great news is that you can be **any age** to undertake an **apprenticeship**:
We **may **also be able to offer **part time and flexible working**:

- a minimum of 30 hours per week will be required for the apprenticeship.

You will need to travel to meet your mentor each day - either to a LiveWest office or at a pre-agreed meeting point therefore you will need to be able to get yourself there. Of course, you will be reimbursed your travel expenses. **PLEASE NOTE**:a driving licence will be essential for your future employment, so, if you don't already, you will need to have one in place by the end of the apprenticeship period.**

To be considered for the role of Trade Apprentice, you will be / have:

- Have exceptional customer service skills.
- Be positive with a can-do attitude.
- Be hard working and committed.
- Have an appetite to learn and progress.
- Be a team player, but happy to work on your own initiative when needed.
- Have excellent communication skills and not be afraid to ask questions.
- Hold a full UK driving licence (D) - must hold before the end of the apprenticeship period.
- Have GCSE pass grade 4/C (or equivalent) in Maths and English - or be prepared to undertake functional skills as part of your apprenticeship.

**Interviews for this opportunity will be an assessment centre on Thursday 18 July in our Weston office, followed by a virtual interview W/C: 22 July.**
