This role is an exciting opportunity to join the Community Nursing Services in ESHT to support learners in the workplace. We are looking to recruit a Band 6 Clinical Facilitator aligned to the local Primary Care Networks (PCN) within the Hastings & Rother area.

This post is ideal for somebody who has extensive knowledge and skills in Community Nursing and is passionate to further develop their skills in clinical education.

The NHS Long Term Plan puts community-based care at the heart of health transformation and education is a key priority within the plan. The Clinical Facilitator role aims to meet the need of community staff education to produce a confident, knowledgeable and competent workforce.

The applicant will require excellent time management skills & be able to deliver educational presentations to small groups of staff. Excellent verbal & written communication skills are key to the role. The applicant will be supported to develop within this role by the wider clinical facilitator team.

The post holder will work within the community to support the nursing teams by providing educational input. The Clinical Facilitator will aid in enhancing the quality of the practice learning environment by providing support & development for staff members. It will also involve facilitating learning for pre-registration students & supporting assessors/supervisors in their roles. The post holder will be expected to use their initiative, analytical skills & judgement. They will be able to work autonomously & as a committed member of the District Nursing team.
The post holder will work collaboratively with other clinical colleagues, Higher Educational Institutes & other education providers to promote the importance of high-quality clinical practice. Ensuring continuous professional development, clinical teaching, supervision & assessment through the participation in the implementation & evaluation of robust educational governance processes in accordance with national standards.
We provide a seven-day service within the hours of 08:00 - 20:00. Including Weekends, Evenings & Bank Holidays which is worked on a rostered basis

The applicant will need to hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
