**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Job Title**:Front of House Wellbeing Worker (12 months)

**Hours**:Part-time - 14 hours per week (Thursday & Friday)

**Reports To**:Wellbeing Centre Manager

**Accountable To**:Wellbeing Centre Manager

**Job Purpose**:
The post holder will work as part of a team to support the day-to-day running of the Living Well/Wellbeing Centre. Set up and maintain systems that ensure the smooth running of the service.

The purpose of the post is to deliver a service collaboratively with partners. Overseen by the centre manager, who will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the service and ensure community groups are support and engaged as a key partner.

Support the Wellbeing Centre Manager by providing infrastructure support to the delivery of the front of house service.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

**1: Core Duties**
- Liaise with Bluesci Centre staff regarding day to day running
- Support Mental Health/ Public Health, library events in partnership with Trafford Council
- Support volunteers and problem solve any arising issues
- Over-see the work on the front counter café area including: supervising customer service; dealing with queries and concerns, maintaining the coffee machine, computers and balancing cash from purchases.
- Complete weekly rotas; track volunteer holidays and highlight recruitment needs.
- Ensure PCs are well maintained and liaise as necessary with Bluesci IT support providers.
- Support the digital offers at the Centre including: Development of computer one-to-ones
- Support and oversee: ordering, room management, look and feel of the environment
- Support the maintenance of website and what’s on guide
- Open and close up the centre in the absence of the Centre Manager
- Support Individuals and visitors attending the Wellbeing Centre in a pleasant and professional manner, promoting the service delivery
- Engage with the development support structure by undertaking; mentoring, supervision, training, observation and shadowing, working towards Wellbeing Practitioner role
- In line with blueSCI Support protocols and as a member of the team, maintain the confidentiality, safety and security of the reception area reporting any adverse matters to senior staff.

Supervision and Accountability
Supervised by the Wellbeing Centre Manager

Daily contact with the supervisor or their deputy and access at all times throughout working hours

Monthly supervision and appraisal

Excellent understanding of front of house / reception management systems

Excellent IT (hard and software) knowledge

Expert level in the use of Outlook.

Intermediate level in the use of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

**Skills & Abilities**

Excellent organisational skills, ability to multi-task and organise others.

Excellent problem solving skills

Ability to work under pressure and be flexible as part of a small team.

Attention to detail and deadlines.

Ability to prioritise and manage own workload amid conflicting demands and busy work periods.

Ability to exercise discretion in dealing with confidential or sensitive matters.

Confident and able to work on own initiative and with limited supervision.

**Qualifications Experience**

Demonstrable experience in an administration/assistant role in a highly pressurised environment requiring tact, judgment and discretion in handling internal and external contacts.

Experience of diary /room management and booking.

Experience of successfully working with senior management.

Previous experience of front of house & customer service / wellbeing
