**Role Overview - What is it?**

To join our largest department here in Luton, in a brand new dedicated ‘property compliance’ function. Working within a small team to proactively administer and coordinate the full assessment, monitoring and management process of all property compliance aspects.

You will be familiar and comfortable with the specifics of the ‘big six’ compliance elements, including fire safety, gas, electric, asbestos and legionella. You will have worked in an environment where their critical importance was fully appreciated and understood.

You will use your knowledge of the topic and your excellent administration, communication and multi-tasking skills to help our newest function get off to a great start. Using your natural problem-solving abilities to find and mobilise effective solutions to all aspects of the topic.

You will be comfortable and experienced in adapting your communication style to different audiences and stakeholders, using that approach to ensure the best outcomes. Working as comfortably with internal technicians as you are with contractors and landlords.

You will be excited by the opportunity to get ‘hands on’ and to work at pace. This is a broad role, which will see you liaising with contractors and internal technicians, completing procurement processes, contacting residents and managing workflows for remedial works.

**Main Duties - What needs to be done?**
- Work with the Property Compliance Manager as part of this small new team to administer and manage all aspects of the property compliance function accurately and effectively.
- Use your excellent administration skills to ensure all aspects of the function, including assessments and completed work schedules, are recording in a timely and accurate manner in our compliance management system.
- Extract details and requirements from various compliance documents, using them to identify the best-value route to remediating any issues or areas of non-compliance.
- Liaise extensively with internal technicians, maintenance co-ordinators and external contractors to ensure assessments and remedial works are completed in a timely manner in line with organisational polices.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with external suppliers / contractors to secure best value and quality for procured services and works.
- Maintain an ongoing focus on quality assurance validation and monitoring of both internally and externally completed works, highlighting any areas of sub
- standard works for further works.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the department to effectively schedule resources to complete remedial and compliance related works.
- Maintain, communicate and manage accurate workflow schedules, working to ensure the most efficient and productive use of both internal and external resources (eg technicians and contractors).
- Support the Property Compliance Manager in the preparation of Compliance Reports and submissions for internal and external stakeholders, sharing knowledge and insight throughout the process.
- Communicate effectively and appropriately with landlords, authority partners and residents at all times, ensuring relationships are developed positively and trust increased.
- Support colleagues from across the organisation to understand and develop their abilities around the completion of inspections and compliance related surveys.
